In one paragraph

RLO Enterprises is a full-package apparel manufacturer and exporter based in India, supplying retailers, importers and private-label brands in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and the European Union. We cover eight garment categories — activewear, athleisure, loungewear and sleepwear, western wear, party and occasion wear, lingerie and intimates, menswear and kidswear — and we handle the whole chain: design development, tech packs, sampling, fabric and trim sourcing, bulk production, third-party inspection, export documentation and shipping.

Minimum order quantity starts at 300 pieces per style per colour. Sampling takes 7–10 days and bulk production 45–75 days. We quote FOB, CIF and DDP from Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Chennai and ICD Tughlakabad, invoice in USD, EUR or GBP, and work on 30/70 terms or an irrevocable L/C at sight. Every enquiry receives a written reply within 24 business hours.

The honest part

Six things that go wrong with overseas suppliers — and exactly what we do about each one.

Nobody’s first worry about an Indian exporter is whether the stitching is nice. It’s whether they’ll be let down. So here is what we commit to in writing, before you send us anything.

“The bulk never matches the sample.”

Gold-seal sign-off, or we don’t cut

Nothing enters bulk until you have physically approved a pre-production sample sealed against your tech pack. Three identical gold seals are made — one to you, one to the QA floor, one to the cutting room. Every inline check is measured against that seal, not against a memory of it.

PP SAMPLE + SEALED SPEC SHEET BEFORE EVERY CUT

“They’ll miss my delivery window and tell me late.”

A shared T&A calendar and a Friday WIP report

You get a time-and-action calendar at order confirmation with every milestone dated — fabric in-house, cutting, sewing start, finishing, inspection, ex-factory. Every Friday you receive a written WIP report with photographs against those dates. If a date is going to slip, you hear it from us at least 14 days out with a recovery plan.

WEEKLY WIP REPORT · 14-DAY EARLY WARNING COMMITMENT

“Is this a real factory, or a trader who’ll disappear?”

Full facility disclosure, before you place a rupee

We disclose every unit that will touch your order — name, address, headcount and audit status — and we do not sub-contract to an undisclosed facility under any circumstance. Book a live video walkthrough of the floor, or visit unannounced during working hours. Both are welcome.

NAMED UNITS · LIVE FLOOR WALKTHROUGH ON REQUEST

“Will this pass my compliance and customs team?”

Audit-ready documentation as standard

Social audit reports, OEKO-TEX and GOTS scope certificates, test reports, cotton traceability documentation for UFLPA, FTC-compliant care and fibre labelling, and a complete export document set — commercial invoice, packing list, B/L, certificate of origin — issued without you having to chase.

UFLPA TRACEABILITY · SMETA REPORTS · FULL DOC SET

“They’ll copy my design and sell it to my competitor.”

NDA first. Your design stays yours.

A mutual NDA is signed before you send a single sketch. Contractually, every pattern, print, trim and block developed for you is your exclusive property — we will not offer it, or a close derivative of it, to another buyer. Your artwork files stay on a restricted-access drive limited to your named team.

MUTUAL NDA · WRITTEN EXCLUSIVITY ON DEVELOPED STYLES

“Emails go into a black hole for a week.”

One named merchandiser. 24-hour written reply.

You are assigned a merchandiser by name, with a backup, both reachable on email, WhatsApp and video call. Every enquiry gets a written reply inside 24 business hours — even if the reply is “we are still checking, here is when you’ll have the answer.” Our team works a daily overlap window with US Pacific and Central European time.

How an order runs

Nine stages. Every one of them dated before you commit.

You get a time-and-action calendar at order confirmation, and a written work-in-progress report against it every Friday. No guessing where your goods are.

01Day 0–1

Enquiry & NDA

You

Send us your enquiry — a tech pack, a reference image, a mood board, or just a description and a target price.

We

We counter-sign a mutual NDA the same day and assign you a named merchandiser with a backup.

02Day 2–5

Costing & FOB quotation

You

Confirm quantities, size ratio, target FOB and destination port.

We

We build a line-by-line cost sheet — fabric consumption, trims, CMT, value additions, packing, testing, freight — and quote against your Incoterm.

03Day 5–12

Design & tech-pack development

You

Share artwork, or brief us and let our design team develop the collection.

We

CAD, print placement, measurement chart, BOM, construction notes and grading rules across US, UK and EU size systems.

04Day 12–22

Proto sample

You

Review the first physical sample and comment freely — this stage is for changing your mind.

We

Pattern making, single-piece stitching in available substitute fabric, photographed from six angles before dispatch.

05Day 22–32

Fit & size-set approval

You

Fit on your model or mannequin, mark corrections, approve the grade.

We

Corrections applied, full size set produced in correct fabric, measurements recorded against tolerance.

Written into the contract

Four promises we put in writing — because a promise you can’t enforce isn’t one.

01

What you approve is what ships

Bulk is inspected against your sealed pre-production sample at a 2.5 AQL for major defects and 4.0 for minor. If a lot fails, we rework it at our cost before it leaves the floor — you are not asked to accept a compromise.

02

You inspect before you pay the balance

Your own QA, or a third party you appoint — SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, QIMA — inspects the goods at our unit before shipment. Balance payment falls due against a passed inspection and a scanned bill of lading, not before.

03

Our delay is our cost

If we miss the agreed ex-factory date for a reason inside our control, we cover the airfreight differential on the shortfall quantity, up to the value agreed in your purchase contract. It is written into the contract, not implied.

04

Quoted price is landed price

FOB quotations are broken down line by line — fabric, trims, CMT, printing, embroidery, wash, packing, testing, freight. No surprise surcharges after order confirmation. If a raw-material index moves before fabric booking, we show you the movement and re-agree in writing.

Quality control

Five gates. Nothing passes on a verbal OK.

Every gate produces a signed check sheet that goes into your order file. If a lot fails, it is reworked at our cost before it leaves the floor — you are never asked to accept a compromise to save a ship date.

Gate 01

Fabric in

4-point system

Every roll inspected and scored before it goes near a cutting table. Rolls that fail are returned, not cut around.

Gate 02

Cutting

Shade & shrinkage

Lay audit, shade-band segregation and bundle tagging so a single garment never mixes two dye lots.

Gate 03

Inline

Every operation

Measured against your physical gold-seal sample at each operation, not against the last piece that passed.

Gate 04

End of line

100% check

Every piece checked and passed through metal detection before it reaches the packing table.

Gate 05

Final audit

AQL 2.5 / 4.0

Statistical audit to 2.5 major and 4.0 minor — or your protocol. Third-party inspectors welcome.

Nothing moves to the next gate without a signed check sheet. Failed lots are reworked at our cost before they leave the floor.

Independent verification, on your terms

  • Third-party inspection welcome. SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, QIMA, TÜV or your own QA team — booked around your inspector’s schedule.
  • Balance payment against a passed inspection. Not against a promise, and not before your inspector has signed off.
  • Lab testing to your protocol. Shrinkage, colourfastness, pilling, seam strength, azo-free, pH, CPSIA and flammability where applicable.
  • Full document set issued with the shipment. Invoice, packing list, B/L, certificate of origin, test reports and transaction certificates.
US import compliance

Cotton traceability documentation from bale to garment for UFLPA, FTC-compliant fibre and care labelling, CPSIA testing on children’s product, and correct country-of-origin marking — assembled before shipment, not after CBP asks.

EU import compliance

Labelling to Regulation 1007/2011, REACH restricted-substance limits, extended producer responsibility data on request, and structured fibre and origin data ready for the ESPR Digital Product Passport.

Getting it to you

We quote the Incoterm you actually buy on.

FOB, CFR, CIF, EXW — and DDP into a US or EU address when you would rather not touch customs at all. Retail-ready packing, GS1 barcoding, ratio packing by store cluster and Amazon FBA prep are all standard, not extras.

Who we build for

Four kinds of buyer, four different ways of working.

Retail chains & department stores

Vendor onboarding packs, full facility disclosure, social audit access, dated drop calendars, store-cluster ratio packing and consolidated container planning. We build to your packing manual, not ours.

DTC & digital-first brands

Low first-run quantities, fast sampling, FBA and 3PL-ready cartons, and a design team that can take you from mood board to range plan when you don’t yet have one in-house.

Importers & wholesalers

Multi-category consolidation into one container, transparent line-item costing so you can price your own margin, and documentation clean enough that your customs broker never calls you.

Sustainable & certified programmes

GOTS-scope organic cotton with transaction certificates per shipment, recycled polyester with GRS documentation, low-impact dyeing and reduced-packaging options costed openly.

Straight answers

The questions buyers ask before the first call.

We publish our minimums, our lead times and our payment terms because the alternative — making you ask three times — wastes your week and ours.

What is your minimum order quantity?
Our standard MOQ is 300 pieces per style per colour for woven western wear, loungewear and sleepwear; 400–500 pieces for knit athleisure, menswear and kidswear; 600 pieces for lingerie and intimates. Party and occasion wear can start at 200 pieces per style.
What are your payment terms?
Standard terms are 30% advance against a proforma invoice to book fabric, and 70% against a scanned bill of lading after a passed final inspection. We also work on an irrevocable letter of credit at sight through a first-class bank.
What is your bulk production lead time?
Typically 45–75 days from gold-seal approval and receipt of advance, depending on category, quantity and whether fabric is in stock or woven/knitted to order. Embellished occasion wear runs 60–90 days.
How do you guarantee the bulk matches the sample?
Bulk is never cut before you have approved a pre-production sample made in bulk fabric with bulk trims. Three identical gold seals are sealed — one couriered to you, one held at QA, one on the cutting floor.
Which certifications and audits do you hold?
RLO Enterprises operates on OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified inputs, holds GOTS scope certification for organic cotton programmes, runs an ISO 9001 QMS, and is socially audited on amfori BSCI with SMETA 4-pillar reports and WRAP certification available.
Who owns the designs you develop for me?
You do. A mutual NDA is signed before you send us anything. Contractually, every pattern, block, print, trim development and construction detail created for your order is your exclusive property.

Next step

Send us a sketch, a photo, or a tech pack. You’ll hear back the same working day.
